【公演レポ】
7月7日(土)、韓国文化院ハンマダンホールでK-POPのど自慢大会「K-POPコンテスト2018 日本全国大会」が開催された。2008年から始まった同大会は、ことしで11回目。全国での予選を勝ち抜いた16チームが、韓国で開催される本選出場をかけてレベルの高いステージを披露した。また、祝賀公演として7人組ボーイズグループ「VICTON」のミニライブ、女性国家代表メンバーのみで構成された韓国最初の女性テコンドーパフォーマンスチーム「ヨベンジャーズ」のパフォーマンスなども披露され、大会を盛り上げた。 毎回K-POPに関心の高い出場者が、熱いステージを繰り広げる「K-POPコンテスト 日本全国大会」。ことしは計16チームがバラード、ダンス曲、ラップなど多様なジャンルの曲を披露し、会場を魅了した。日本全国大会で大賞を獲得したチームは、日本代表としてK-POP世界一を決定する世界大会「K-POP World Festival」に出場するチャンスが与えられる。
「K-POP World Festival」とは、世界中のK-POP ファンが集い、歌とダンスの実力を競い合う世界最大のK-POPフェスティバル。2011年に開かれた第1回大会を皮切りに、毎年韓国の昌原(チャンウォン)市で本選が開催されており、 2017年の大会では祝賀ステージに「TWICE」、Ailee、「防弾少年団」、「ASTRO」など人気K-POPアイドルが総出演している。出場者はこのステージをかけて、審査員も「ことしはとてもレベルが高かった」と話すほどのパフォーマンスを披露した。
すべてのステージが終了し審査の時間に入ると、韓国最初の女性テコンドーパフォーマンスチーム「ヨベンジャーズ」が祝賀公演を行った。息の合った振付を披露して、パフォーマンス的な要素も加えながら、次々と板を割っていくと、その度に会場からは歓声と大きな拍手が沸き起こった。クールな表情と大きな掛け声で技を披露してきた「ヨベンジャーズだった」が、ラストは「MOMOLAND」の「BBoom BBoom」に合わせ、明るくダンスを踊りながら板を割り、会場もノリノリになって「ヨベンジャーズ」のパフォーマンスを楽しんだ。
続いて大歓声に迎えられて登場したのは「VICTON」。最新シングル「オウォルエ」で、一気に会場の雰囲気を変え、一層成長したパフォーマンスで魅了した。
これまで参加者のステージを見ていたメンバーたちは「とても上手」と称賛し、ステージでの緊張感は理解できるかという質問にはメンバー全員が深くうなずいた。最近「オウォルエ」でカムバックした「VICTON」だが、新曲の反応についてホ・チャンは「チャートインしました。『M COUNTDOWN』で3位になりました。ミュージックビデオも、これまでとは違ってストーリー性があるものになっています」とグループの成長を明かした。さらにビョンチャンは「これからも日本のファンの皆さんにたくさん会いにきます。そしていつか日本で正式にアルバムを出したいです！ 」と意気込み、今後の日本活動に期待させた。
「Remember Me」、「EYEZ EYEZ」でステージを圧倒するオーラと男性的な魅力まで見せながら息ぴったりのパフォーマンスを見せると、会場からはすぐにアンコールコールが。それに応え「一緒に楽しんでください」と「Blank」を笑顔いっぱいにパフォーマンス。「ありがとうございます！ 」「気をつけて帰ってください」と手を振り、ステージを後にした。
2つの祝賀公演が終了し、いよいよ受賞者発表の時間に。ここでは再び「VICTON」が登場し、プレゼンターを務めた。
まず韓日友情賞は、「EXO」のファンで、「『EXO』愛をぶつけたい」と「12月の奇跡」を歌った森永琉有花さん。そしてこの日最もステージを盛り上げたチームに贈られる人気賞には「WINNER」の「REALLY REALLY」を歌った及川真由良さん、岡崎紗耶さん、高橋真弥さんが選ばれた。そして銅賞は、SHINee ジョンヒョンさんが制作したイ・ハイの「ため息」をバレエ、ジャズダンスの要素を加えた自主制作のダンスを加えて披露した秋山未来さん、安井摩耶さんに贈られた。秋山さんは「『SHINee』 のジョンヒョンさんの訃報を聞き、初めてこの曲を知りました。その時私も悩み事があってこの曲に救われました」と選曲の理由を明かした。銀賞は韓国で歌手になりたいという夢を語った、イ・ソニの「因縁」を歌った漆田萌子さん。金賞はHeizeの「あなたをあまりに知らなくて」を披露した蘇木里奈さんに贈られた。
そして圧倒的な歌唱力でAileeの「歌がうまくなった」を見事に歌いこなした樋口咲季さんが大賞を手にした。樋口さんは「今まで歌をやってきて、初めて優勝しました。コメントができないくらいうれしいです。日本代表になったので、その名に恥じないよう、しっかり私の歌を届けます」と意気込みを語った。
個性溢れる参加者たちの優れた実力はもちろん、K-POPへの愛がひしひしと伝わってきた「K-POPコンテスト2018 日本全国大会」だった。
